A workshop for Trampery members…
“It’s a writing-making mashup…” I told people, by way of introduction to a lunchtime workshop for members of creative workspace Trampery Fish Island. In celebration of International Women’s Month we were choosing tissue paper petals and leaves (which I had pre-cut), writing shout-outs to wonderful women – colleagues, business partners, family, friends, assembling them into flowers and gathering the flowers into a display for the reception counter.
The gathering was human, too, in this community of co-workers. Anyone could take part – we even had a four-legged assistant, who I sketched – and there was chat as we made. A participant told me that she had appreciated the opportunity to take time out to play. And play, I would venture, is where some of the best ideas get started…
