Line on to online…
My project processes are designed around my clients. So for the Bowen Craggs Conference in Berlin, for online usability I decided to add digital drawing to my live sketching skills. I expected to find it clunky – I use a stylus and tablet in the studio, with the slight delay that gets in the way of drawing freehand. But it’s turned out to be powerful and responsive, with the added fun of being able to export a time-lapse video. It’s useful for handwritten text too. So have I given up drawing on paper? No. As with design, digital and tactile media both have their value.
