Montage of detail of work on canvas showing paint, stencil and beading, and details of the two watercolour sketches, of aquilegia and bluebells

I have three small pieces of experimental work going into the Summer Salon at Three Colt Gallery in Limehouse. Time and tide, from a sketch along the Thames Path, plays with water and shadow in biro, acrylic wash, stencil and beading on canvas; the other two, sketched live in my urban garden, are in multicoloured pencil, highlighter and watercolour using a brush that’s hilariously huge in relation to the offcuts and samples I’ve drawn on.

Why might this be of value to clients or collaborators? Well, for those looking for creative partners who think; who look; who try stuff out, this spirit of experimentation is good. If you’re on an adventure, I’ll pack my pencil case…

The Summer Salon is on from 13 June to 19 July at Three Colt Gallery, 83 Three Colt Street (off Narrow Street), London E14 8AP. Opening hours: 10am-6pm Tuesday to Sunday. All three pieces are for sale.
