Party sketching for The Trampery

Sketching on swing tags...

A campus for fashion, innovation and sustainability, Trampery Fish Island Village invited me along to sketch its first birthday celebrations.

Sketching at events, there’s context to think about, the character of the event and what my client would like to do, on the night and afterwards, with the work. And because my work spans design, creative direction and illustration I can’t resist playing with formats and materials.

So to honour the sustainable fashion focus, I made swing tags from scrap to draw on. During the evening, we tied the finished sketches to hangers on a garment rail. So as well as coming up to chat and see what I was up to, guests could wander over to flick through the finished sketches.
