The latest Spitalfields City Farm annual report comes in a year when it has also published its strategy and theory of change.
So to enable the Farm to use the two documents together, I’ve designed elements of one into the other.
Pictures tell a lot of the story of how the Farm works with its communities, what brings people joy and what matters to staff and volunteers so there are plenty of them in the review of the year.
The square format provides an approachable read for general audiences while still accommodating the detail of Trustees’ and financial reports.
PDFs are prepared in general and administrative formats, the review section with images alt-tagged and reading order adjusted for accessibility.
As ever, it’s been cheering to read about the Farm’s latest work as I’ve designed the annual report.
And the best thing? I always visit by way of our initial chat about what jobs the design should be doing this year. Glorious produce, glamorous chickens and Holmes the pig: what’s not to like?
