I’ve designed catalogues for central London exhibitions – printed, with high production values, for sale as souvenirs. But why design one for a solo show in a café?
Well, the PDF catalogue for Hello, Petal, my exhibition of botanical work, is there to help. It can be looked at via QR code or web address at the show. It has dimensions so it’s handy for people who want to go home and think about a piece. And it serves as a virtual show for people who are interested in the work but can’t make it to the venue.
It’s set up for accessibility too. For that, it’s been handy that to help visitors with my terrible handwriting, the exhibition captions are transcriptions of the handwritten notes on the work.
