A different kind of snapshot

The Corporate Digital Communications Index Snapshot 2025…

For the past few years, Bowen Craggs has published a snapshot of lessons and innovations from companies in the Corporate Digital Communications Index. Each year has had a theme, illustrated with bold, punctuation-based graphics, within a single design framework.

This year, corporate communicators are working amid an array of pressures and the impact of AI. So Bowen Craggs has published a different kind of snapshot for this confusing and exhilarating moment, full of practical information and insights rooted in current best practice. That’s needed a shift in design: in how we represent this graphically, in how we engineer the information for a good, and useful, read and designing for PDF-only publication, read primarily on-screen – all while still feeling consistent with Bowen Craggs communications as a whole.

At the heart of Bowen Craggs is well-written reporting. So every year’s Index Snapshot starts with words – in a conversation to understand what the design needs to do, and in working with an early draft as a starting point. Out of that has come a graphic approach rooted in blueprints, which can be used in a variety of ways to present different kinds of information. Feedback on PDF readability has given us bigger text and bigger screenshots cropped in to show relevant details. And with the value of authenticity increasing, we’ve introduced by line head shots.

It's an interesting and valuable read. You can download it here.
