Why mucking about matters...
Art. It’s one of the things keeping us going in the current crisis. But people don’t necessarily have a room-full of art materials – so in my lunchtime workshop for The Trampery, I wanted to show how to get creative with stuff we happen to have around us.
Playing freed us all up to experiment, discover and dust off our sense of wonder. And that’s good for creativity, however we use it in our day.
Above: a Zoom sketch, using a plant stem, a candle, a tea bag, a scourer, biro, highlighter, an envelope, a kebab stick… and some linguine. Which, I should point out, has a slight design fault when you’ve been drawing with it for a while: it goes a bit bendy.
