It’s one of the more surreal brand requests I’ve had. But unflappability in the face of events goes with my job so I set to finding out about the production requirements of cupcake branding. I looked at how we might repurpose the already-multipurpose graphics I’d designed for the Bowen Craggs office, using the ampersand roundel from the visual identity, to colour code flavours, or dietary requirements. I also (to the joy of the team) recommended getting in samples – which I didn’t get to eat. So tea time at the Bowen Craggs 20th anniversary event was a treat, this, red velvet, and delicious.
